A reasonably decent tropical drink branded with the Dragons’ Den star’s now iconic name! Apart from the branding, there isn’t too much that stands out about the product. It was a good price for a large can and contained real fruit juice too which I guess is a bonus.
Much better than Raspberry Mint! This is however just a regular tropical tasting energy drink so what you sacrifice in originality you gain in being drinkable! It’s sweet and tasty and a reasonably sized 330ml can.
I’m not usually a fan of pineapple. Don’t get me wrong, I love the flavour it adds to the lemon chicken sauce at my local Chinese takeaway, but on its own as a single flavour I’m not that keen. But… Monster have taken just the sweet top-notes of pineapple flavouring for their White Pineapple drink. This drink is sweet and smooth with no tangy or bitter taste at all. The description says it’s “white pineapple” also known as “sugarloaf”, so perhaps it’s this particular type of pineapple which gives it this smooth flavour rather than the regular varieties I’ve tried as actual fruit? I don’t know, I’m not a pineapple expert. Anyway… really worth a try if you can find a can of this.
It’s just a really sugary tasting tropical energy drink. Loads of it, gives you quite a fruity rush I guess and it’s not bad tasting, but it really isn’t anything special.

Another concentrated drink which I added a couple of squirts to some carbonated Sodastream water. You do get a slight whiff of Strawberry, but honestly this drink is more like a normal, if slightly fruity, clone energy drink. It’s really nice! I found this in Target while on holiday in New York, and I’ve not found it in the UK yet but if I do, I’ll be buying several of them.

Slightly better than the watermelon and lime flavour, but it’s still just a fancy looking tropical drink in modern packaging. Very sweet, and the labelled fruits (pineapple and guava) kind of mulch up into one lump of tropical tasting drink with none of them really standing out on their own.
Tropical! I had expected to taste coconut in this one (I don’t know why, I know that there’s giant pineapples all over the can) but it is definitely just a mild and sweet pineapple drink. High in caffeine, it’ll keep you going all day – and being pineapple it’s certainly different to most other drinks you’ll find.

It burns!!!! If there is pineapple in this drink, then I can’t taste it. All I can taste is the fiery harshness of ginger burning its way to my stomach. It’s very strong on the ginger front if you hadn’t got that… strong and overpowering enough to make it unpleasant to drink and I couldn’t finish it. I think I managed about a quarter of the carton before giving up.

An experience… I’m glad it’s in shot form though. It’s basically a very juicy shot tasting mostly of pineapple juice, but there’s chewy bits floating around in it which make it quite weird to drink. Then, about 3 seconds after drinking it you get the hit of the chilli. It’s certainly very unique, but given its odd drinking experience and the very low caffeine content it’s not going to score too highly as energy shots go.
