Sparkling Ice + Caffeine: Apple Raspberry
September 3rd, 2022Another excellent variety from the Sparkling Ice+Caffeine range (three-for-a-pound don’t you know!). Refreshing, not too strong in flavour but certainly not watery. I’d say the raspberry is the dominant flavour here rather than the apple.

Sparkling Ice + Caffeine: Mixed Berry
August 20th, 2022Normally when I see a flavoured water style energy drink I expect quite a watered down experience with not much flavour. Maybe it was because it was the hottest day so far of 2022 when I tried this, but I found it to be a perfect balance of flavour, sweetness and refreshingness (is that a word??).

Reign: Peach Fizz
July 23rd, 2022Sorry Reign / Coca-Cola (who own this brand…), I’m not a fan of peach. Yes, therefore, I’m biased here with this review… I didn’t like it. Peach is just too tart to use in a drink in my opinion. If you’re going to grab a can of Reign, go for one of the many other flavours instead and you’ll (probably) avoid disappointment.

Braw Energy Blue Raspberry
July 16th, 2022I always find it odd when a brand chooses a sticker-labelled can over printing on the aluminium itself. It tends to be what marketing companies do for promotional cans for businesses who are giving them away at trade shows, so when you see them on the shelves of shops then they look a bit odd. But still, a black can with a mostly black label looks quite smart – the matt effect of the label does give the drink a premium look. It’s a blue raspberry flavoured drink too which is nice, but not stand-out amazing. It’s certainly better than your average clone though.

Relentless Zero Sugar Raspberry
June 11th, 2022Amazing! There we go, review over 🙂 Super-refreshing and really nice, not too sweet, but perfectly fruity. A large, low-calorie energy drink from one of the premium brands, this is possibly one of my favourites of theirs (nothing is likely to ever beat their lemon flavour!).

Grenade Energy Berried Alive
June 4th, 2022This drink has quite a strong flavour to it, like a strongly mixed summer fruits squash drink. There’s a very slight bitterness to it if you pay close attention to your tastebuds, like there might be pomegranate juice in there too, but mostly it’s a mixture of blackcurrant and other sweet berries (I’d like to say raspberry too, but I’m just guessing as there’s no specific clue on the can or stand-out taste). Watch out for the caffeine content, it’s very high!

Relentless Zero Sugar Peach
May 28th, 2022I never really look forward to trying peach flavoured drinks, I find them to be bitter and not that nice. But, this Relentless one wasn’t quite as bad as I was expecting. Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather not have a peach flavoured drink, but this one was tolerable. Quite sweet, a bit tropical, sickly aftertaste, but tolerable!

Monster Ultra Watermelon
April 30th, 2022Not my favourite Monster Ultra flavour, but it’s smooth as always in-line with the Monster brand. The watermelon flavour is not too strong, quite sweet, and really needs to be drunk straight from the freezer. If you let it warm up, it’s really not as enjoyable. I could only find this drink in a multipack of 4 at Tesco, which was quite a lot to get through.
