Crazy Horse
May 13th, 2017This is a proper local Canadian product discovered while on holiday in Vancouver. Not only does it state it’s a “Certified Canadian Aboriginal Business” on the can, but it’s also flavoured with Saskatoon Berry which is a very local ingredient to make use of! That gives this drink a score of 5/5 for originality. The flavour itself is sweet and tangy, with a strange aftertaste – a bit like sour cherry mixed with cranberry juice.

Mountain Dew Kickstart Fruit Punch
May 6th, 2017This fruit punch flavoured drink tastes like Double Dip cherry and orange mixed together. I’m sure I’ve described other drinks like that too before, but that doesn’t mean this isn’t unique – it’s really smooth in the way you’d expect a Mountain Dew drink to taste. Easy to drink, and low in calories too.
Rockstar Boom – Whipped Strawberry
April 29th, 2017A strawberry energy drink is really unusual. It’s pretty much just Calpol in a can though! It’s reeaally sweet and sickly, and clings to your teeth, but it’s still pretty nice. I’m not sure what the ‘whipped’ part of the flavour is, but the strawberry flavour is very dominant. Definitely worth a try if you find it.

Mountain Dew Kickstart Black Cherry
April 22nd, 2017Really nice and smooth but with a below average kick of caffeine. Black cherry makes a great flavour for an energy drink – sweet and strong but not overpowering or sickly. This drink made for a great breakfast to stave off jetlag!

Rockstar Revolt Killer Citrus
February 11th, 2017It packs a pretty good punch for a sugar free energy drink. Taste-wise, it’s almost tropical as opposed to lemon/orange, but it’s not overly tart and has a nice smooth flavour.

Full On: Tropical and Guava
December 3rd, 2016As I always say (or do now), there just aren’t enough drink names starting with the letter F. And this one only cost me 25p (ignore the can’s printed price point!) for a massive 500ml can. This drink tastes pretty good for a tropical blend – it was sweet, not overpowering at all, and not too sickly which is an important quality for a large can of drink. I’d buy it again, which is rare for me to say about tropical drinks! I’m now keeping my eyes out for other Full On flavours – so far this is the only one spotted in the wild but I imagine there must be an original around too.
NOCCO Paere
November 5th, 2016Liquid pear drops, that’s the only way to describe this drink. The first sip is nice, but it’s too overpowering after about half a can. Even the fact that it’s very low in calories doesn’t make up for that, but it is super-full of caffeine.

NOCCO Fersken
October 15th, 2016Despite the name, it tastes like peach. Google translate tells me that Fersken means peach so that worked out. It’s a sweet and sharp drink which I find a little too tart for my liking, but it does contain extra protein (BCAAs) and is sugar free.
